This is Lucas, aged just 8 — and already one of the top flyers at the club.
Lucas began flying when he was only four years old. Since then, his passion for aviation has grown into something truly impressive. He loves everything about flying — from mastering new manoeuvres to learning how different aircraft are designed and built.
His very first aircraft was the
Max-Thrust Riot Balsa Wood Pro-Built Series RC Model Plane Kit — a brilliant introduction to the world of RC flying.
Behind that confidence in the air is serious dedication. Lucas has logged over 1,000 hours on the Real Flight Evolution simulator — developing the reflexes, discipline and control that set strong pilots apart.
He has already passed his A Test, a fantastic achievement at his age, and flies regularly at
Mereside Model Flying Club in Lathom (L40 4BA).
One of his favourite events is the spectacular
Weston Park Model Airshow — a place where inspiration takes flight and the best pilots showcase what’s possible.
And when it comes to aircraft, Lucas loves flying the powerful and precise
SkyWing Extra NG 74in — an aircraft that demands skill, focus and confidence.
